Third time lucky for Tauranga vendor

When two local real estate companies failed to deliver a sales result for John and Jeanetta Bergh of Papamoa they were despairing of the industry.

They had built an impeccable brick and tile home in Papamoa and were ready to move on with their lives but two failed marketing campaigns meant their position was stagnant.

They decided they needed a company with a broader reach and in their search New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty came to the forefront of their pursuit.

“The highlight of 2020 for us was meeting and entering into an agreement with Richard Laery and Luke Nobilo of New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty. We chose Sotheby’s for their capacity to reach a wider audience through their national and international marketing platforms’.

A successful result was gained in a short time frame of seven weeks which included a robust marketing campaign including the home being professionally staged, which elevated the marketing of the home.

“Richard and Luke stayed positive and co-operative every day and kept in control and continuously marketed the positive attributes of our home while maintaining consistent contact with us”, says John.

Multiple offers were made including one from outside the region, however a successful offer from a young family was accepted in late February. This equated to a timespan of seven weeks from going to market until the contract was signed and delivered.

“This was a huge achievement in our opinion, and we attribute this achievement to the highly professional and extremely committed performance of our dedicated agents at Sotheby’s”.

“It is with confidence and pride that we recommend both Richard and Luke as sales professionals of choice to market any property in the New Zealand market, they certainly went above and beyond to ensure a win-win outcome and exceeded our expectations. Sotheby’s was more expensive than the local operators, however the service, marketing and whole experience was something that we wished we had received initially. We only wish we had contacted Sotheby’s first and eliminated the stress that overwhelmed us during 2019”, says John.
